Inspired Artisans, Ltd. Installs Artwork at New Marquette Chapel
Milwaukee, WI, January 7, 2009 – In late December, artists at Inspired Artisans, Ltd. were busy putting the finishing touches on over 20 individual pieces of art that were installed in Marquette University High School’s new Three Holy Companions Chapel in Milwaukee, WI.
“A committed team of talented artists [whose]…designs were authentic and creative,” were some of many words of gratitude spoken after the completed installation by Mr. Dan Quesnell, Director of Planning and Community Relations for Marquette University High School. Quesnell went on to say, “Our Three Holy Companions Chapel is a remarkable secondary education worship facility due in large part to the extraordinary work of your artists.”
Among the pieces installed were bronze Stations of the Cross, three bronze IHS signature plaques, a bronze medallion floor inlay, a painting of the Madonna della Strada, and most notably, a marble Holy Water font and a Shrine of the Three Holy Companions. The Font was beautifully crafted out of marble, glass, and bronze and serves as a focal point in the rear portion of the chapel. The Shrine is backed by an oil painted mural and features a fiberglass sculpture of the Three Holy Companions, St. Ignatius Loyola, St. Francis Xavier and Blessed Peter Favre.
