Celebrating the liturgy today should be as joyous and fulfilling as it was for
the earliest Christians. Whether you are a priest or liturgy planner,
you can help every individual worshiper feel involved and
connected with the entire congregation. How? By adapting the Roman rites
to satisfy the needs of your particular parish.
In this book of adaptations for the church year, Michael Marchal presents
his theories about why you should adapt in the first place and then makes
suggestions for adapting the following rites:
Blessing the Advent Wreath
Christmas Midnight Mass: Lessons and Carols
Renewal of Baptismal Promises
Blessing and Distribution of Ashes
Easter Vigil: The Light Service
Infant Baptism
Preparatory Rites for First Communion
Healing
Blessing for Engaged Couples
Matrimony
Renewing Religious Profession
