Two Bas Reliefs, each 4'
x 15' of fiberglass-reinforced Hydrostone.
The first panel honors St.
Katherine Drexel who donated the money for the pews of this parish. It
is an inner city parish, thus African-American features on the
Madonna and Child.
Since this is a Jesuit parish
and needed a crucifix, the image of St. Ignatius and the crucifix are united
in the second bas relief. The parish has an important homeless
ministry, thus the image
of a homeless man with his bag of belongings at his feet.
