The parish lies at the eastern edge of the Great Plans, often experiencing  wind.  Thus the connection of the local condition to Pentecost and the Holy Spirit, their patron.  This abstract figure embodies the energy of the wind and of the Holy Spirit. The design's diagonal movement is consistent to the altar wall's architectural elements flanking the window.  An exterior "buttress" behind the altar windows casts a shadow on the window at certain times, necessitating the use of diffused glass. The design's warm and vibrant colors, energy and abstract forms evoke the images of the "tongues of fire" and the "rush of the wind" as portrayed at Pentecost.
