Celebrate the Good News each day of Advent with reflections and activities in your home. Family Advent-ures provides a guide for each day of Advent to help Christians of various ages reflect, discuss, and choose actions meaningful for the season. During a daily gathering, an Advent Scripture is presented in a creative manner using storytelling and drama or proclaimed from a Bible. Wondering questions help everyone reflect without being "right or wrong". There are a wide range of suggestions for Christian action. Choose from simple to complex depending your needs and interests.

This book is designed for multi-age use in traditional families, but it can also be used in group homes, Catholic schools, home schools, or any place people of any age come together daily as Christians. It includes an Activity Section with craft directions, activities, and pull-out pages for children.

Janet Miller, with an MA in Catechetics from Santa Clara University, brings forty-five years of faith formation experience. Besides teaching in Catholic school, facilitating catechist and youth ministry formation, and leading faith formation groups, she devoted many years to writing parts of, and editing, Celebrating the Lectionary. She is the author of Catechizing for Justice: A Six-Session Program to Promote the Gospel Mission and an editor of Forming Ministers for Whole-Community Faith Formation, selected by the Library of Congress for its social significance. Janet has written numerous articles for publications such as Ministry & Liturgy, Catechist Connection, and Eucharistic Minister. Faith formation in the home is a top priority for her. Having raised four children, she now helps with ten grandchildren.
